Glenn Brady's work has been widely exhibited around Australia including solo shows at Mahoneys Galleries (Melbourne), Metro Arts (Brisbane) and Kiln (Brisbane), just to name a few and has also had a solo show in Virginia in the United States. He's twice (2007 and 2009) been a finalist in the Churchie National Emerging Art Exhibition.
Wolfgang Sievers was one of the world's great industrial and architectural photographers, and a passionate campaigner for human rights who fled Germany in 1938 and settled in Australia.
Sievers, who passed away in 2007, gave human rights lawyer Julian Burnside all his remaining photographs to sell for the benefit of any human rights causes. The Big Issue in Brisbane is honoured that Julian has donated two images for the Big Art auction fundraiser. Both images have been printed and signed by Wolfgang Sievers.
Stephen’s work toured Australia with the Archibald Prize Finalists Exhibition in 2002 and was exhibited at the 2008 Dobell Prize for Drawing Finalists Exhibition at the Art Gallery of NSW. He has also won numerous awards including the 1992 Overall Winner, National Australia Bank Award, Churchie Exhibition of Emerging Art and was the Featured Visual Artist for the 1993 Concert Season Queensland Symphony Orchestra. His work also features in collections at Parliament House, Canberra, Macquarie University, Crown Casino, Melbourne and BHP Billiton. He regularly holds solo exhibitions in Sydney and Brisbane.
Adam Sebastian West is a Brisbane based photographer and videographer renowned for introducing the element of natural beauty to all of his concentrated genres of photography. This is evidenced through his continual success and abilities to highlight and amalgamate the diversity and beauty of nature as it exists now; whilst capturing images within the areas of landscape, commercial lifestyle, visionary architecture, adventure sport and emotive portraits.
David Hinchliffe is a well known artist and Brisbane City Councillor representing the inner city. David has paintings in private collections in the US and Europe and has exhibited in New York and London.
Keith Burt is an emerging artist who was selected for judging at this year’s national Churchie Art prize. He has been a regular contributor of illustrations to The Big Issue and he recently painted Kevin Rudd and Barack Obama for the cover. We're excited to have Keith, who was also a 2009 exhibitor, donating a piece for Big Art 2010.

We are thrilled to have an artwork by Regan Tamanui (alter ego HaHa) at Big Art's auction on the 14th October. Regan also generously donated to 2009's Big Art auction.
There are more than 4,000 homeless people in Brisbane, with about 350 squatting in the CBD alone. The funds raised through Big Art help to support Brisbane’s 50 Big Issue vendors who are determined to help themselves.
The exhibition will be at the Bleeding Heart Gallery in Brisbane’s historic School of Arts Building, where the art will be auctioned at a ticketed event on 14 October 2010.Some of the artists from 2009 are contributing again this year including high profile artist Regan Tamanui and Keith Burt, an emerging artist who was selected for judging at this years national Churchie Art prize. Well-known Brisbane identities from the creative community — author Nick Earls, diva Kate Miller-Heidke and fashion designers Easton and Pearson are also donating to this years auction event.
